Living with Parkinson’s

Parkinson’s can change how you move and manage everyday life. This pathway focuses on useful movement, confidence and practical adaptations, with goals reviewed as symptoms, medication response and the support you need change over time.

The starting point

Support movement and participation, while adapting care to your changing needs.

Adults with a confirmed Parkinson’s diagnosis who need support with walking, balance, daily tasks or confidence. Participation depends on clinical stability, an individual assessment and access to the level of supervision or specialist input required.

01 / Your goal

Make it personal.

02 / Your plan

Keep it connected.

03 / Your next step

Review it together.

What support can look like.

Your programme is shaped around your health, preferences and clinical needs.

01

Movement and balance

Parkinson’s-specific physiotherapy may address walking, turning, balance and movement size, using strategies selected for your particular difficulties.

02

Everyday skills

Occupational therapy can consider practical tasks and adaptations. Communication or swallowing concerns need assessment by the relevant specialist.

03

A workable routine

Plan suitable activity around fatigue, symptoms and prescribed medication timing, with family involvement and ongoing review when helpful.

Your journey

Small steps.
A clear direction.

  1. Assessment

Discuss daily difficulties, falls, medication patterns and priorities with the treating team’s information.

  2. Your plan

Choose relevant movement and daily-life goals, with the support and specialist input needed.

  3. Supported practice

Practise agreed strategies at a suitable time and pace, recording changes that affect participation.

  4. Review

Review progress and changing needs, including whether adaptations or additional clinical assessment would help.

Make progress
personal.

The right measures help the team understand whether the plan is useful and what should happen next.

How measurement works
01 / Review together

Walking, turning and balance under comparable conditions

02 / Review together

Ease of daily tasks and level of assistance

03 / Review together

Fatigue, confidence, participation and caregiver concerns

Measures are chosen by the clinician. These are examples, not a standard test package.

A team that fits your needs

Connected professional support.

  • Treating neurologist or physician
  • Physiotherapist with Parkinson’s experience
  • Occupational therapist
  • Speech and language therapist, dietitian or psychologist when indicated

The centre confirms the professionals involved and their availability.

Working with your hospital

The right care, in the right place.

An admission or medical change can affect movement, confidence and daily routines. Following hospital care, the treating team’s instructions and medication schedule remain central. A fresh functional review can help identify what support is appropriate for transfers, activity and returning to familiar daily tasks.

Our referral approach

Your questions, answered.

Can this slow or reverse Parkinson’s?

MiMo360 does not claim to reverse Parkinson’s or demonstrate disease modification. Goals concern movement, daily capability, participation and adapting support as needs change.

Does the time of my medication matter?

It can affect how you feel and move. Share your prescribed schedule and symptom patterns so the team can consider session timing without changing your medication.

What if speech or swallowing becomes difficult?

Tell your treating clinician. These concerns may need speech and language therapy or other specialist assessment; a general exercise session is not a substitute.

Clinical perspective

Support aims at function and quality of life; it does not promise to stop Parkinson’s progressing. Treatment remains clinician-led. Programme content and specialist input depend on suitability and local availability.
